Day 17 Bento Days

118_4411I had an itch to bake something this morning. I needed something quick and easy, yet satisfying for their lunch, so homemade tortilla chips it was! Now mind you, these aren't the crispy, salty tortilla chips you get in the store. They’re crunchy on the outside, nummy on the inside, thick-and-can-hold-your-salsa good!
I simply made homemade tortillas (which are really really really easy) and then baked them at 400ยบ for 6 minutes on a pizza pan to crisp them up a bit. I then added homemade canned salsa, some green beans and yogurt and we had a great, cheap lunch! And you could always throw some cheddar and ground turkey in with the salsa for queso!
Today's Menu:
  • Homemade whole wheat tortilla chips
  • Homemade Salsa
  • Steamed green beans
  • yogurt
